A New South Wales federal court has ordered a New Zealand man to pay $100,000 in damages for taking Viagra (sildenafil) pills. Mr Justice Charles Wren said New South Wales had not proved that Viagra was more potent than the popular erectile dysfunction drug. Mr Wren also said the federal judge had given him a $1,000 fine for failing to prove that Viagra was not more effective than the other erectile dysfunction drugs.
Mr Wren's case is the first time he has been sentenced to pay a $100,000 fine, and it is the first time he has been ordered to pay damages. Mr Wren said that New South Wales would be entitled to a new trial if it had proven that Viagra was more effective than the other erectile dysfunction drugs, including Cialis (tadalafil).
Viagra is a popular medication in Australia that is effective for about 40% of men. It is sold under the brand name Cialis. Mr Wren said New South Wales had been taking Viagra for six months without any evidence of its effectiveness. The judge also found that Mr Wren did not prove that Viagra was more effective than the other erectile dysfunction drugs, which are known as PDE-5 inhibitors.
"Viagra has been the most effective drug in Australia for treating erectile dysfunction, and it has been the most effective drug in New Zealand for treating male erectile dysfunction for years," Mr Wren said.
Mr Wren said that he had never taken Viagra but said he had taken it on three occasions, three times, three times a day, for about six months.
The judge had ordered that he be fined $100,000 and ordered that he pay a $1,000 fine and pay damages to Mr Wren, who was sentenced to prison for a year.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of a single daily dose of sildenafil citrate (50 mg) on the erectile function of men with erectile dysfunction (ED) in a community sample.
Viagra is a FDA approved prescription medication for the management of erectile dysfunction. It helps enhance blood flow, supporting erectile function during sexual activity.
Viagra 50mg Tablet can be taken with or without food but should always be used as directed by your doctor. For best results, take it approximately one hour before planned sexual activity. While the time it takes to work may vary from person to person, it usually starts acting within 30 minutes to an hour. This medicine works only when there is sexual stimulation. Do not exceed the recommended dose of one tablet in 24 hours.
Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medicine, as it can increase the likelihood of experiencing side effects such as dizziness or headache and may decrease the effectiveness of Viagra Tablet.
